Your soulless, suicidal eyes still haunts me.
Deliberate and abusive famines struck,
Left you skin and bones—
None but the sins of greed and envy to blame.

Born to be Loved
-
Till I Rise from the Pit
Oh, my dear child, I ache for you
Locked in the attic always shushed,
While kindred souls
carved stories into you.
I understand —
the rituals were familial,
Hollow stares,
malice lingering all around you.
Did the tables turn?
What do you think?
The postman doubted the
whisper of heaven.
Once again,
the sin of ignorance weighs more.

The Memory That Was Me
My memory of you is forgetting you,
Piercing through the pliant,
yet stubborn “us”.
It takes me where I want to be now,
But romanticism doesn’t stop.
I reminisce the past,
Ponder the future wailing,
Only to realise —
The present you is primal you.
And that calms my heart,
While mourning the loss of you,
Ceaselessly —
Until I realise, you were me all along.

Love Happens
Standards like golden hour
slightly blinded, yet warmth you enjoy.
Depths unfathomed,
the dawn of her ballads never seems to end.
Her love—maddening,
whilst lacking an elder’s counsel.
does shallow walk through delusions
as her love sickens.
Dormant Venus, visible on canvas,
as her plot thickens.
Yet again, Miss Lovespring longs for
the upcoming chirps and sun-dips.
Nevertheless, blushing and rushing with limerence,
it seems the nightingale’s spell
charmed the picky.
Cosmos of the dark, Hera in the light—
her go-tos these days.
Like an eldritch soul
ready to unravel.
Ancient in bloom,
yet a familiar cliché—
the breeding season never seems to end.

A Facade
Black holes are quiet from outside,
Mysterious, dark and alluring.
Like attracts like, right?
Do you want to be sucked in?
Better tie a rope around yourself,
Just in case, you know
Because you don’t know —
They’ll probably need a rope too.
You imposter!

Out of Place
He’s a weird one, alright,
Never marched with the gratified herd.
Trapped within four walls,
He aches to be heard.
The untamed, ecstatic realm —
An element he’s always feared.
What do you want?
The tempter whispered.
Summer — cold and understood.
Winter — hot and passionate.
Numbed of shame and deception,
Ever forgiving.
With a wry smile he declared:
“Nothing in between”.
The alchemist within chuckled,
Half amused, half reverent he said,
“Dear Lamb of God,
You’re too weird for this realm, alright.”

Were you??
You were there when the devil suckled on my soul,
Twisting my worldview when things turned ugly. You were there when light found me
Letting it unfold — with a sinister smile.Did you ever look in the mirror?
I bet you do, all the time —
Never noticing,
You’re just a broken shard.– Nodame
